Robin “Bijou Star” Sadler is a radio personality, motivational speaker, social entrepreneur, philanthropist. She can be heard daily 10a-3p as the Midday Co-Host on “The Sam Sylk Show With Bijou Star” on 93.1 WZAK FM in Cleveland OH.  Bijou is the CEO of the beauty and lifestyle collective, Power Brand Group and the Founder of SIS Everyday, a platform for modern women of faith.

Bijou exudes poise and passion as she connects and captivates audiences through her unique communication style formulated from experience, love and just being herself.   

Bijou received her undergraduate degree in Broadcast Journalism from Howard University where she cultivated her gift for the media arts. Immediately upon graduating from college Bijou defied the odds and landed her first on-air job in her hometown of Cleveland with no prior radio experience.

During Bijou’s 13 years in radio, in addition to her shows in Cleveland she also hosted her own show in Detroit, MI.

As a multi-media personality Bijou has garnered an avid Internet following through her successful websites and blogs.

Her viral celebrity interviews have been heard and seen by millions.  She has interviewed such celebrities as Will Smith, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Samuel L. Jackson, Iyanla Vanzant, Chris Rock, Snoop Dogg, Ava DuVernay, T.I., and Jamie Foxx just to name a few. 

Her interviews have been featured on VH1 and numerous media platforms including TheWashingtonPost.com, Billboard.com, MTV.com, BET.com, Complex.com and GlobalGrind.com among others.

Through her faith in Jesus Christ, Bijou has turned life’s tests into her testimonies, and her greatest triumphs have come through overcoming her struggles. After years of battling a diagnosis with Lupus she put feet to her faith and through a holistic approach she experienced healing and a reversal in her symptoms.

Inspired by her healthier lifestyle and a need for natural products to aid in caring for her hair she started Ourjoi (formally Power+Pure), a plant based hair and skin care company. Ourjoi joins her textured hair extensions company Power Hair Collection under the Power Brand Group imprint.

Bijou has always had a passion for serving, but even as the daughter of a Pastor she never imagined that her life would lead her to accept the calling into ministry. Her vision to build a space to embrace the whole woman of faith while growing in sisterhood and spirituality resulted in the creation of SIS Everyday, a platform and community that merges faith and lifestyle.

Through Bijou’s philanthropic efforts she continues to give back to her community with her numerous charity endeavors and events including her “Survivor” Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show and other Breast Cancer Awareness fundraisers, “Best Christmas Ever” Toy & Clothing Drive For Homeless Children, and “Girls Brunch” Teen Leadership & Empowerment Brunch.

Bijou is blessed to be the recipient of numerous honors for her dedicated community service including The ‘Citizen Of The Year Award’ from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter and the ‘Crystal Spire Award’ for Community Service from Mt. Zion Congregational Church. She has been featured in Who’s Who In Black Cleveland and is a member Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Bijou walks everyday in her purpose while using her platforms to promote and expose people to all things positive and share the love of Christ. She is on a mission to motivate and empower individuals, especially young girls and women, to also live purposeful lives and most importantly to remember that it’s never too late to answer your calling and live your dreams.
